Start practicing Now. It’s never too late
by Atman Nityananda

Two Greek Proverbs Say:

“It’s never too late” and “Better late than never.”

There’s no need to lament the time already wasted in pursuit of fleeting pleasures, money, trivial matters, or spent on things that harmed you in some way.

Complaining, disappointment, sorrow, and guilt are games of the ego, designed to keep you trapped in its vibration and will.

Time that has passed cannot return. There’s no reason to waste the rest of your time meaninglessly either. The best time to begin a life of peace, inner joy, harmony, fulfillment, and creativity is now.

Focus on what you can do, on what you can change and achieve—not on what you didn’t do.

Ask yourself deeply: What do I truly want from my life? What is truly worth living for?

Will I continue living a life of small pleasures and fleeting satisfactions—a life where something is always missing, where I feel unfulfilled and empty, where things rarely go as I wish, and I always blame something for not being happy, satisfied, or whole?

Or will I live a life filled with harmony, peace, creativity, happiness, and fulfillment?

If you want the latter, you must stop being negligent, lazy, postponing, and procrastinating.

Take action today—with consistency, determination, simplicity, and practicality. Tomorrow never comes. Do not leave for tomorrow what you can do today.

Or better yet, do not postpone for later what you can do now.

Now is the only moment that exists. Now is the only moment to connect with our essential nature and deal with, address, and eliminate the unconscious elements (ego, tendencies, patterns, passions, defects, impulses, etc.) within ourselves.

Nothing you do within yourself, for your soul, is ever wasted. Everything else will disappear in an instant at the moment of death, like a lightning bolt striking out of a clear sky.

The ‘secret’ to a plentiful life, a life of harmony, happiness and contentment is to have a sattvic mind free from desires and ego and to live in every moment in conscious contact with our true Self (Consciousness).
