“Babaji said joy and sorrow are part of everyone’s fate in this world. Today, the situation is such that where we are, there is great sorrow and where we’re not, there is great joy!
It is true that those that are bestowed with darkness are also given light. Just as a dark night is required for light, and a rose requires thorns to grow, in exactly the same way we need sorrow to spread fragrance in our lives.
We need grief to understand life. Happiness will follow thereafter. We all know that to touch a rose, one must get pierced by thorns.
We are living in the Kalyug when instead of walking the path of righteousness, people prefer to tread the path of iniquity.
Only those who remember God through chanting and meditation are able to walk the path of virtue in Kalyug.
The path of bhakti (devotional worship) may be strewn with thorns and is certainly a difficult road to follow, but its end is very sweet.
