Desire is the royal path to suffering

We suffer in many ways due to desire and attachment:
1. When our ego’s desires go unfulfilled.
2. When something or someone hinders the fulfillment of our desires.
3. When we believe something or someone obstructs our desires.
4. When we go to extremes to satisfy our desires.
5. Due to excessive indulgence in desires (sex, drink, food, etc.).
6. When we commit sins to fulfill desires.
7. Because of the fear of losing the desired object.
8. Due to the loss of the desired object.
And last but not least:
9. When desires are fulfilled
Because, once again, we realize that fulfilling a seemingly promising desire doesn’t bring true fulfillment, everlasting happiness, freedom, and peace. This is the most frustrating of all
