Being aware of the silent presence of the Self

extracto del libro ‘MORIR PARA VIVIR’

Being aware of the silent presence of the Self (divine essence) within us not only helps us to avoid identification with psychological expressions and to observe them mindfully, but it is also an end in itself.

It is an end because the Self is the Alpha and Omega of our life, the ultimate source and abode and by being aware of the silent presence of the Self we experience peace, freedom and plenitude (Wholness). Ultimately, through consolidation in our Self (silent Presence of Being) we are freed from all pain and suffering and experience without interruption and without effort the eternal and infinite peace and bliss of Divine Consciousness.

Therefore, in spiritual life and practice it is of utmost importance to develop the ability to remain attentive (vigilant) and aware of the silent presence of our true Self (Consciousness) and to deepen into it until we become firmly established in it.

The ‘secret’ to a plentiful life, a life of harmony, happiness and contentment is to have a sattvic mind free from desires and ego and to live in every moment in conscious contact with our true Self (Consciousness).
