Living the peace within

All the ways of managing moment by moment the mental and emotional expressions in us, aim to appease them and diminish their energy and return to the state of serene attention and awareness of inner silence and experience the peace and fullness of our true nature.

Living in this way, from moment to moment, the ego (all tendencies and all its aspects) will gradually lose strength, attachments and identifications will become weaker and weaker and our capacity to remain in deep and firm contact with the inner silent space and to live the peace, freedom and fullness of our Being will increase more and more.

If we want to live free from the limitations of the mind and the ego, if we want to experience peace and fullness, it is necessary, as long as the ego is still alive in us, to try to be moment by moment alert and vigilant and to remain firmly centered in our heart, in conscious contact with the silent presence of the Self.

And in order to do this consistently and with determination, the peace and fullness of the Self will have to be more important than the pleasures of sensory experiences and worldly successes and to practice diligently and systematically morning and night in our home and follow a sattvic and well-organized life.

The ‘secret’ to a plentiful life, a life of harmony, happiness and contentment is to have a sattvic mind free from desires and ego and to live in every moment in conscious contact with our true Self (Consciousness).
