Aum ! Sattvic Life
by Atman Nityananda
In Hinduism, there are three gunas or qualities of nature (gunas) that influence everything in the universe. These gunas are sattva (purity, light), rajas (activity, passion), and tamas (inertia, darkness).
From these three qualities sattva is the one that promotes physical health, enhances mental and emotional wellbeing, and accelerates spiritual growth and awakening.
Living with peace, light, love, wisdom, creativity, and harmony is only possible when sattva guna predominates in our mind.
That’s why sattvic life is the basis of a healthy life, well-being, and spiritual growth.
Living a sattvic life involves purifying our body, vital energy, mind and heart and aligning ourselves with our higher self or Atman.
Living a sattvic life requires conscious effort and a willingness to change.
By practicing daily a variety of spiritual practices and following a sattvic way of living we purify our mind and heart, live in conscious union with our divine essence and we enjoy the benefits of purity, inner harmony and union with our essence and the universe.
The ‘secret’ to a plentiful life, a life of harmony, happiness and contentment is to have a sattvic mind and to live in every moment in conscious contact with our true Self (Consciousness).
🌺 Peace, Love, Harmony
