Awakened and Unconscious

A good example to understand the difference between someone who is awakened and someone who is still in a state of unconsciousness is a theatrical performance.
The awakened person is acting, but they know they are just playing a role and have not identified with the role, whereas the unconscious person has fully identified with the role, has forgotten who they are and lives as the person in the role.
